Taiwan is now an international destination for tourists from around the world, and many enjoy the opportunity to purchase items duty free. In fact, one travel expert believes that Taiwan leads the way in offering duty free bargains that are not available elsewhere. One Malaysian woman arrived Taoyuan International Airport on Thursday to much fanfare. Her first trip to Taiwan was a wonderful surprise as she soon became the 7 millionth international passenger this year. But the majority of tourists are from China. Last year, 1.6 million Chinese travelers arrived, an increase of nearly 70 percent from 2009. Martin Moodie, founder and chairman of airport industry intelligence service The Moodie Report, said Taiwan has much to offer.Martin MoodieFounder of "The Moodie Report"You are doing the...

Taipei Taiwan Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2 Arrivals hall. Make sure you buy a SIM card before you leave the airport. It is much easier to buy at the airport than in the city as they speak English and are familiar with signing up non-resident visitors. You will need to provide your passport. SIM cards can be used all throughout Taiwan. I went to Taipei and Taichung as well and had no problem with it.
My first visit to Taiwan was extremely rewarding. This particular terminal Terminal One is beautiful and grandiose. When I arrived after my flight on Philippine Airlines and entered the airport I had no problem what so ever. Everything is clearly labeled with airport signage in English and Chinese. You immediately are given a choice between arriving and passing through immigration or going to a waiting area in order top transfer to a connecting flight. As soon as you enter the terminal you have a few duty free shops available if you wish to make a purchase for your onward flight. I went on to immigration and was stamped with a temporary 90 day visa free pass. I was lucky the because one of the officials in the airport walked me right through no lines, no waiting. My total " line time" was...
no chocolate in the duty free shop
two drops of scotch
gonna end up on his crotch, tonight
all alone, sitting on the throne
some native tounge on the TV
blaring like an old Peavey
he don't aim to be rude
he's fighting with his inner prude
some pommes frites and you know
it's gonna drip on to his lap
yes, see the man slapping it off
travellin' will do him in
trudging through the waves of people
'till his heart is cluttered and feeble
if you take him out of this loop
he may be very easily duped
still he beats the stampede for the duty free
he's using up all that old currency
he's using up all that old currency
